DIRECTOR OF PR & MARKETING

Overview: We are a Vernon-based startup Denim Company seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to bring on as Director of PR and Marketing. He/She will be directly responsible for the development, delivery and performance of all Marketing and Public Relations strategies that lead to increased brand awareness and consumer loyalty. This position involves extensive collaboration with Design, Creative, Ecommerce, Sales, and PR teams. We are seeking a resourceful PR and Marketing professional, with a strong background in fashion. Compensation based on experience. Responsibilities: - Create and manage PR & Marketing budget, calendars and strategies. - Directly oversee all PR & Marketing initiatives across a wide range of platforms (social, print, digital, events, etc.) and ensure cross-functional teams adhere to budget and deadlines. - Manage partner PR agencies to assure goals and brand messaging are communicated consistently and effectively with a focus on maximizing brand awareness and ROI. - Write copy for press releases, executive announcements and bios, pitch letters, seasonal key messages, company statements, interviews and press coverage, media alerts, etc. - Support partner PR agencies with product pull requests, credit requests, VIP and editor gifting, stylist and influencer outreach, sample trafficking, image requests, etc. - Maintain fluid communication on all PR, Marketing and Sales initiatives between Executive, Sales and PR teams. - Partner with Design, Creative and E-commerce teams on photo shoot production and marketing campaign logistics (email marketing, catalog, print/electronic ads, website, etc.). - Liaise with Sales teams and retail partners on concepts for in-store displays, GWP's and collaborative opportunities. - Work with Art Director to develop, source and produce all brand assets. - Manage inventory and distribution of all brand assets. - Manage tradeshow logistics from registration to installation to breakdown. - Must constantly stay up to date on current trends, as well as monitor/analyze competitive business. Qualifications: - Minimum of 5+ years in Fashion PR & Marketing or related experience. This is NOT an entry-level position. - Demonstrated success in journalism, advertising, marketing, new media or public relations. - Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point); knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and social media is a plus. - Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
